    Interesting Concept
This review contains spoilers. The storyline is an interesting concept, I’ll give it that. It’s just not realistic lol - which is to be expected. Basically, both of the characters are “germaphobes” but one is outwardly and one is on the DL.

How quickly the characters get over their phobias despite one of them literally throwing up MULTIPLE times over skin to skin contact is actually wild.

I wish there was more to the story to give it a little more depth.

    Also, this isn’t necessarily worth $2 a chapter… I’d say more like .99 would be a better deal…

    Eyebrow Raising
This review contains spoilers. This story was… different. And I’m not sure if it’s good or bad different. The age difference is like ten years and Ten has been in love with Kohaku since the kid was like 12? They’ve been unofficially engaged since they were 10/20 respectively. And then there like stalker, almost rape scenes between Kohaku and one of his close friends.

Idk the story checks a lot of boxes, I’m just not sure whose boxes.

    Decent Story, Pacing is Weird
This review contains spoilers. Like mentioned in the title, the story itself is alright. It’s nothing groundbreaking. Just pretty much the average 18+ BL plot that we’re used to.

But the pacing of this story is so abrupt that it had me scrolling backwards to see if I missed a page. Or a whole chapter.

Granted, there was only 7 chapters - Kento’s abrupt switch from “catch feelings and it’s over” to “I love you too” had literally zero build up.

And the MC being like “I’m in love with you have sex with me in the library or else” was wild.

    Saucy and Underrated
I’m in love with the plot. A grim reaper who just wants to do his job and a socially awkward, everyday Joe is such an unexpected but cute pairing. The author did a good job of balancing the story and the NSFW scenes as well which I can appreciate.

    Hard to Read
This review contains spoilers. I wanted to love this so bad and I did try to read it to the end where I knew they’d get their happy ending, but the MC is such an a**. He drugs, r***s him multiple times, and blackmąils the LI because he thinks he’s a brat and doesn’t need him? But he’s still the one to catch feelings and chase after him. Idk, this just wasn’t it for me.

    Definition of PWP
Like my title refers, this is really the definition of p**n with some plot. Not that that’s necessarily bad, but there are so major points of the story that’s glossed over in favor for a nice makeup sex scene or whatever.

I feel like the story would be rated a little higher if they focused more on MC and LI’s back story.

By the last page of the story, they toned it back a bit because it was already too late

    Twisted for Sure
This review contains spoilers. Don’t get me wrong, the love story between MC and LI is absolutely adorable. But the twisted part is definitely the backstory of the LI and how he’s been lowkey (highkey) groomed by his sister’s fiancé for a good part of his adolescence. Like it’s not as dark as other stories, for sure, but it’s still such a big dark stain on the upbringing of the LI that it sticks out.

    Really Sweet
I’m glad I took the time to read this as I’d almost argue that it’s less about about BL romance and more about someone discovering the joys of friendship and affection and how there are different forms of love. This is actually a really sweet story.

    A little Fast Paced
This review contains spoilers. Of course with the story only being 6 chapters, you expect there to be little slow burn, right? But the pacing of this story is really weird. Akio and Seto were friends in childhood but then Seto had to abruptly move away and fast forward to them meeting again, Seto not recognizing him, and Akio basically doing a love confession on the spot and trying to kiss him. Their entire relationship is basically Akio DTF and in love and Seto goes from ew wtf to I love you too in the span of like a day.

Besides that, the actual dialogue and plot isn’t bad and I enjoyed it still

    Sweet and Spicy
This review contains spoilers. It’s the stereotypical host story where the protagonist is a host and has a reoccurring client, but Haruki is different because not only is he the one actively pursuing the MC, but he also is the dominant one in the bedroom and even takes on a mentorship type of role.

I will TW that there is a scene where for plot, a character (not the LI) drugs MC drink and attempts to assault him… but once again, LI comes to save the day.

    Sweet Sriracha Type Story
I love everything about this! It mixes in the famous/ordinary person trope with the virgin/experienced trope and adds a dash of finding yourself and realizing you’re allowed to be happy. Overall, it was a sweet story, but the NSFW scenes are still just as satisfying as any other story.

    Interesting Premise, I Want More
Their relationship is reminiscent of Yusuke and Kuwabara from Yu Yu Hakusho where they’re two delinquents who like to fight and their relationship is established on that.

That being said, the romance aspect is a really cute touch even if the unrequited love that is actually mutual trope is played out. I wish there were more than 4 chapters to really build on their relationship and now they express themselves.

    Fluff & Spice
I loved this! It is a pretty short series - only 7 chapters, but they’re able to tell such a cute story in that timeframe. My favorite part is the fact that we have a MC who doesn’t have a complete mental breakdown over liking another man.

He’s just like “oh hmm, sure?” It’s refreshing.

    Actually Really Sweet
Despite the title, there is actually less sex than the traditional BL mangas on here. This a sweet story of a blossoming unlikely friendship turned to lovers with a classic misunderstanding trope.

I don’t know why it’s rated so low when it’s such a cute story.

    Feels like a cliffhanger
This review contains spoilers. I loved the series - it was very cliche with the whole “dating based off a bet, but he then he really falls in love” trope. But at the end, it just feels like it ends at a cliff hanger. Like the best friend moves next door and barges in and it’s supposed to be funny?? Like no, explain how this man knows where they live when THEY just moved in.

    All Fluff, No Angst
The story progresses really fast, but this is a cute little pick me up read. The love interest is supposedly straight but there’s no weird consent issues, he’s surprisingly open minded, and it’s all around very week.

    The New Omegaverse
This review contains spoilers. This is basically omegaverse, but different dynamics. It’s super cute but the story goes so fast that five chapters doesn’t seem enough.

Honestly, I wish they would have built more on the jealousy/bribery plotline with tomoe and haru. That definitely could’ve extended more than a few pages.
